At their core, Coreless Thermal Rolls are tubeless thermal paper products-they lack the rigid central core (usually 12mm, 18mm, or 25mm in diameter) that standard thermal rolls rely on for structure. This design change directly addresses two key pain points of cored rolls:
- Eliminates "core waste": Cored rolls leave 5–10% of paper unused (wrapped around the core), while coreless rolls let users print until nearly the last inch.
- Reduces physical size: Without the core, the same length of paper can be wound into a smaller diameter roll, making it ideal for ultra-compact printers (e.g., portable POS devices, wearable scanners).
