How to make colored tissue paper mother roll color last longer?

• Keep away from direct sunlight and strong LED light

UV light is the biggest cause of color fading. Store mother rolls in dark warehouses, closed cabinets, not near windows or light lamps.

•  Keep cool & dry

Ideal: Temperature 15–25°C, humidity 45%–60%.
Avoid damp, hot, stuffy places (like near factory boilers, bathroom storage) - high heat and moisture make dyes oxidize and fade fast.

• Avoid big temperature changes

Frequent hot-cold alternation accelerates color aging.

• Keep the original PE/PP plastic wrapping intact; do not open prematurely.
• For bulk stock, pack extra with opaque black plastic film or cartons to block light completely.
• Do not store colored tissue mother rolls next to volatile chemicals (bleach, detergent, solvent) - chemical gases will discolor the paper.

• Select light-fast, acid-free water-based dyes for tissue printing/coloring. Avoid cheap, low-grade dyes.
• Use high whiteness base paper + color fixing agent during production; color fixation greatly improves light resistance.
• Prefer pigment colorants over ordinary soluble dyes for longer color retention.

• Reduce high-temperature drying during tissue processing; excessive heat burns the color and speeds up fading.
• Arrange production and sales in rotation: first in, first out; do not stock for too long.
• Once converted into finished tissue products, keep them in opaque outer packaging instead of transparent plastic bags.

• Do not expose semi-finished mother rolls to the open air for a long time.
• Keep away from dust and sulfur-containing air (easily causes color yellowing/discoloration).
