What are the limitations & challenges for cement paper bag?

Despite their advantages, cement paper bags have key drawbacks that limit their use in certain scenarios:

Low Moisture Resistance

Even with liners/coatings, paper is not fully waterproof-prolonged exposure to rain or dampness will saturate the paper, causing tears and cement hydration.

Low Durability

Paper tears easily if punctured (e.g., by sharp tools on construction sites) or overloaded (bags cannot hold more than 50 kg safely).

Bulk Inefficiency

Transporting 1 ton of cement requires 20 x 50 kg paper bags-this is less efficient than 1 super sack (which holds 1–2 tons), increasing transport costs for large projects.

Single-Use

Most paper bags are designed for one use (the paper weakens after filling/emptying, and the liner is often damaged when opening).
