What are the advantages of using high-grade paper pulp in the production of napkins?

Using high-grade paper pulp in tissue napkin production offers multiple distinct advantages, which are critical for product quality, user experience, and market competitiveness:

Superior Strength and Tear Resistance

High-grade pulp (such as virgin wood pulp with long fibers) has a more intact fiber structure and longer fiber length. Napkins made from it exhibit excellent dry and wet strength-they are not easy to tear when wiping hands, faces, or table surfaces, and won't leave fiber residues on skin or tableware. This avoids the embarrassment of paper scraps sticking to hands or food during use.

Enhanced Absorbency

The fiber arrangement of high-grade pulp is more loose and porous, which creates more capillary channels for liquid absorption. Napkins produced with it can quickly absorb water, oil, or other liquids, with a higher absorption capacity compared to those made from low-grade pulp. This makes them more efficient for cleaning spills or drying moisture.

Better Softness and Comfort

High-grade pulp undergoes refined processing (e.g., delignification, bleaching, and fiber refining) to remove impurities and rough components. The resulting napkins have a smooth and soft texture, providing a comfortable touch when in contact with the skin. This is particularly important for applications such as baby napkins or high-end catering napkins, where skin-friendliness is a key requirement.

Stable Whiteness and Clean Appearance

High-grade pulp has low impurity content and can achieve uniform and stable whiteness through environmentally friendly bleaching processes (e.g., elemental chlorine-free bleaching). Napkins made from it have a clean, bright appearance without spots or yellowing, which meets the aesthetic standards of high-end restaurants, hotels, and household scenarios.

Higher Environmental Compatibility

Most high-grade pulp comes from sustainably managed forests (certified by FSC or PEFC), ensuring legal and environmentally responsible raw material sources. In addition, high-grade pulp requires fewer chemical additives during production, and the finished napkins are more easily biodegradable and compostable, aligning with the global trend of green consumption.

Stronger Process Adaptability for Customization

High-grade pulp has good flexibility in processing. It can be easily shaped into embossed, folded, or printed napkins without damaging the fiber structure. This allows manufacturers to produce customized products (e.g., napkins with brand logos, special patterns, or unique folds) for different commercial scenarios, enhancing brand differentiation.
